Kitchen Countertops

The surface you work on every day, cut to the way you actually cook.

01What we do

A kitchen countertop is a working surface first. We plan seam placement, overhangs, sink and cooktop cutouts and edge profiles around how the room is used, then fabricate and install the stone with our own team.

Whether you are replacing worn countertops on existing cabinets or finishing a new kitchen, we review the cabinet layout, appliances and fixtures before anything is cut.

Perimeter runs + islands

Countertops for perimeter cabinets, islands and peninsulas, including seating overhangs planned with your cabinet layout.

02

Sink + cooktop cutouts

03

Backsplashes

Stone backsplashes, from a short splash to full-height slab, coordinated with the countertop so pattern and edges line up.

04

Edges + waterfalls

Eased, bullnose, ogee and mitered edges, plus waterfall island ends where the stone wraps down to the floor.

05

03Material notes

Choose the surface for the setting.

Quartz and quartzite are different

Quartz is an engineered surface. Quartzite is a natural stone. They look similar in name only and differ in care, pattern and heat behavior.

Natural stone care varies

Granite, marble, quartzite and soapstone each have their own sealing and cleaning needs. Ask about the specific slab you choose.

Hot pans need a trivet

Use trivets and cutting boards regardless of material. Engineered quartz in particular can be damaged by direct heat.

04How it works

From measurements to installation.

  1. 01 /

    Conversation + material

Share plans, photos or measurements. We talk through materials, edges and what the kitchen needs.

  2. 02 /

    Measure + template

Cabinets set and fixtures chosen, we take hand measurements and make physical templates when the job calls for them.

  3. 03 /

    Layout + fabrication

Seams, cutouts and edge profiles are confirmed, then the stone is cut and finished in our shop.

  4. 04 /

    Installation

Our team sets, levels and seams the countertops. Plumbing reconnection is handled by the responsible trade, confirmed in advance.

05Questions

Asked before
the first cut.

Do my cabinets need to be installed before you measure?+

Yes. Accurate measurements depend on cabinets being set, level and secured. We also need your sink, faucet and cooktop selections so cutouts are correct.

Can you install over my existing cabinets?+

Often, yes, provided the cabinets are sound and level. We look at their condition during the measure and tell you if anything needs attention first.

Who disconnects and reconnects the sink?+

We plan installation around plumbing, but disconnects and reconnections are handled by the trade responsible for plumbing on your job. We clarify who and when before work begins.

Where will the seams go?+

Seam locations depend on slab size, the layout and the pattern of the stone. We review seam placement with you before fabrication.
