Preparing for Countertop Installation
A smooth install starts before anyone arrives. Use this as your checklist.

Before measurement
Measurements need a finished base to be accurate.
- Cabinets installed, level and secured
- Sink, faucet and cooktop selected, with specs on hand
- Appliance locations confirmed
- Decisions made on backsplash height and edge profile

Plumbing and other trades
We plan installation around plumbing, but disconnecting and reconnecting sinks and fixtures is handled by the trade responsible for plumbing. Confirm who that is and when they will come before install day.
Electrical, tile and appliance installation also belong to their trades.

Clearing the space
Empty cabinets and countertops in the work area and provide a clear path from the entry to the room. Stone is heavy and moved by hand, so walkways matter.
04
On installation day
Expect noise and some dust from on-site adjustments. Keep children and pets away from the work area. Walk the finished install with the crew and note any questions before they leave.
